[/li][li] No perfect characters please. Character flaws or physical differences give your character more depth and personality- there are a thousand "pure white mares with flowing manes and blue eyes" out there! Don't be afraid to spice it up!

Common Courtesy of the Game
We require that you try out for a land, all posts must meet the post requirment however posting over the requirment gives you brownie points. Any land without a leader present may be claimed, however if there is a beta, the beta is given the option of taking over.
Lands which have been dubbed Postions of Power and must be tried out for are:
[li]The Royal Dark, Light & Neutral lands
[/li][li]The Amazon Fields
[/li][li]The Bachlour Realm
Try-outs will be held in the event that there is no leader. Even if the beta is present, they must also try-out in order to assure that everyone has a fair chance. [/font][/size][/li][/ul]
At Ebon Roses we have 2 methods of claiming that may use.
1.Post normally in the claiming ground and and wait for a stallion to approach your mare
2. You may fill out the following form and post it in the :

[b]Sample Post[/b]Under sample post, the mare would make a post as if she was posting a normal being claimed post. This is so that the interested role players can see how your character functions. Any interested stallions should use the same form but should include his terra name. Under ‘sample post’ the stallion should post as if he were replying to the mare in a normal claiming situation. After this, all the stallion can do, is sit back and wait for the mare to reply, not more replying for the stallion. After 1 week, the mare is allowed to choose who she wants to go with. If 9 days pass and the mare has yet to choose then the admin will choose for her!

Positions of the Power//Royals
1. All Royals will be given the power to update their own lands
2. Royals do not have the power to kick a herd leader out of their herd
3. When a royal is chosen, they may choose their mate however we ask that you tell the admins first, just as a common courtesy
4. After the Royal is chosen they may not be challenged or stolen from for up to one month
5. When we host try-outs, hopeful Kings and Queens may try out
PLEASE NOTE just because you are a Royal DOES NOT mean you are a Global Moderater, yes you have admin powers but those are for the sole purpose of taking care of your lands. (the password to a sucessfull royal post is monkeys) You may not ban or accept members to the site as this is an Admins job.
*These rules apply to the leaders of the Amazon and Bachelor herds
The Brutes//stallions
[li] May claim a realm and mares *please see claiming rules before doing either*
[/li][li] May exile other horses out of their respective herds to be claimed again
[/li][li] Must be three years or older to: claim a terra, challenge for one or breed
[/li][li] Only lead stallions may steal mares/foals
[/li][li] Herd leaders are asked to at the least make one post a week in their terra to keep it active! If you fail to do so- administrative steps will be taken.
[/li][li] When claiming please remember not to try and tackle every single mare, leave some darlings for the other boys!!
The Fairest of the All//mares
[/li][li] Can not claim land
[/li][li] Must become three years old to: mate, become a leader or fight
[/li][li] The only mare who can claim others for the herd is Queen of each respective Alliance.
[/li][li] Reserving claiming posts for a particular stallion is not allowed, you can request a stallion but any stallion can still claim you.
[/li][li] You may not leave a herd at will, mares are only allowed to do so if the stallion gives permission or if the mare is stolen by another stallion.
The Innocents//foals
[/li][li] May not challenge untill they reach the age of three
[/li][li] Can not participate in wars
[/li][li] If abandoned, any stallion of any herd/alliance may claim a foal
Fighting
[/li][li] Any land that is now under new leadership is not allowed to be challenged for 1 week (3 weeks if it is a royal land)
[/li][li] When challenged for a land, the challenged must post under the Mauvais Valley board, hence they make the first post
[/li][li] The challenger has 3 days to reply, after that, the challenge is called off
[/li][li] Each person must make a total of 6 posts before the admin decide the winner
[/li][li] You have 2 strikes for god-moding while fighting. If you go over this, the challenge may end and the challenged becomes the winner
Betas
[/li][li] There are two Betas in each herd
[/li][li] The male beta, with the permisson of the lead stallion may court 1 mare, while he is inviting her to his herd, he is not allowed to invite any other mares in.
[/li][li] Betas may block a steal if they suspect it to be from their herd (however it is advised that you consult the lead before you do so)
Stealing
[/li][li] To steal you must write a poem. If the poem is deemed impossible to solve then it will be void.
[/li][li] Steal poems are written OOC, so at the beginning of your steal post you must include the name of your character that is attempting to steal, and the terra they belong to.
[/li][li] Poems MUST include the name of the mare/foal you wish to steal and the name of the stallion to which they currently belong.
[/li][li] Number of guesses allowed to solve the poem goes on how many mares a stallion has. A 'guess' is the name of the mare they think is being stolen.
[/li][li] 1-3 mares = 1 guess. 4-6 mares = 2 guesses. 7+ mares = 3 guesses.
[/li][li] To make your guess please put 'Block' in the subject line and in the message type something along the lines of: 'Silver(name of stallion guessing) blocks Honey(name of mare he thinks he is being stolen).' If you have more than 1 guess allowed to you then you would put down Honey and --- etc.
[/li][li] In three days an admin will ask the writer of the poem to reveal. They MUST make a reply that shows how the poem includes the mares name and the name of her stallion. If the admin deems the poem has not been successfully blocked or has not been replied to by the stallion it was meant for then the mare/foal will be classed as stolen and must go with the writer of the poem.
Breeding & Birthing
[/li][li] Breeding is not to be graphic please
[/li][li] Mares must wait 2 weeks real time before breeding again
[/li][li] Put *Ebon Roses* in your joining post at 'Draw a Breath' so that I know you have read all of the rules

[/li][li] Please post both parents stats before birthing
[/li][li] The admin will decide the gender, health and the color of the foal so that we don’t have a random attack of white or black foals o.0 you decide the rest, this is so we won’t have billions of fillies and no colts or visa-versa
